Bradbeer #293  Tall A variety #11574  Ag  June 21, 1862.  Signatures:  RJ Delony / H. Kepler.  Unknown 1863 IP stamp with 2 Jackson Miss 1864 & '65.  (This unknown 1863 exhibits the circular base that is seldom seen with this stamp).  This note is extremely high grade for the variety with Full Frame Line.  It is beyond me why PCGS didn't give this note an UNC grade, but I guess they "netted" the grade because of the ink burn.  I understand the "Apparent" because it does have the tiny ink burn at left signature; but, this is "paper" and it simply can't be graded the same way as rag content notes.  Ink Burn / Erosion is quite common on thesenotes!

PCGS  Choice About New 58 PPQ  $185.00
Bradbeer #294  #26640  Ac  July 25, 1862.  Signatures of WT Snead, for register and AS Watts, for treasurer.  Very small initials manuscript on left front:  LLC.  Unknown 1863 IP stamp (probably used by Henry Savage at Wilmington NC) also with Richmond 1864 IP.  I don't recall seeing an interst hundred with initials on the front.  Most likely it was an indication of who the note was intended for.

PCGS  Apparent New 62  $175.00

Sanford Depositary Issued stamp on the back dated 5 NOV '62 partial manuscript.  There are no interest paid stamps which is unusual.  Great color & contrast!

Sanford Depositary Issue stamp on the back dated 5 NOV '62 partial manuscript.  There are no interest paid stamps which is unusual.  Great color & contrast with the slighest amount of handling!

Bradbeer #308  #66054  Ah  January 8, 1863.  Signatures of W. Hancock, for register and AW Gray, for treasurer.  A very large Issued Asst.Treas.Off. Jackson.Miss Jan 26 1863 stamp on back along with 2 Jackson Miss 1864 & '65 IP stamps.  The signature combination is a very difficult combination!  The note, although cut slightly into body across the top (no frame line), is a super grade for any Train (T39/40).

Hoer (T41)  All Keatinge & Ball, Columbia S.C.

PCGS  Very Choice New 64 PPQ  $500.00   front  back
Bradbeer #311  #388  Y  August 26th, 1862.  Signatures of WB Walston, for register and TW Bell, for treasurer.  This is a Postal Issued note.  Manuscript Issued with Charleston SC SEP 5, 1862 stamp.  There are 3 Augusta Georgia IP stamps for 1863, '64 & '65.  This is also a First Day of Issue Hoer!   It also has two complete CSA block watermarks.  It is unusual to find complete CSA w/m on any of these notes.  You usually only find one or two letters visible.  A really pretty & choice note!

PMG  About Uncirculated 53 EPQ  $175.00
Bradbeer #318A  #4953  X  August 30th, 1862.  Signatures of WT Snead, for register and AS Watts, for treasurer.  2 partial block CSA watermark (SA visible).  2 Augusta 1864 & '65 Interest Paid stamps on back.  The note is nicely balanced with good color & contrast!  While a number of Aug 30th notes were issued they aren't that common and certainly not this nice.

PCGS  Very Choice New 64 PPQ  $375.00   front   back
Bradbeer #318A  #30227  Y  November 24, 1862.  Signatures of WT Snead, for register and AS Watts, for treasurer.  There are 3 Interest Paid stamps on the back from Augusta Georgia 1863, '64 & '65.  The 1865 Augusta is the "black" ink variety and is much scarcer than the common blue ink variety, or at least it is seldom seen.  Very bright with great color & contrast!  Also of interest is the Unlisted Variety with small "T" found to right of left serial number and right at edge of vignette.  This variety is now being studied and little is known how this misplaced "T" came to be on some of these notes.

PCGS  Choice New 63 PPQ  $325.00   front  back
Bradbeer #316A  #99479  Y  December 11, 1862.  Signatures of G Johnston, for register and WL Harvey, for treasurer.  This note is 1/8th inch shorter than the other notes.  Plain paper Scroll 2.  The back has 3 Augusta Georgia Interest Paid stamps for 1863, '64 & '65.  (Black / Red / Blue)  This note has great balance, color and contrast with better than average borders.  There is a tiny natural paper hole, similar to a tiny pin-hole, near the top right just under 1862.  There is also a small gutte fold in the 100 medallion at left.  This is a really nice type note!

1863 Dated Hoers
(most are signed and dated with weak washed out ink.
They were hurriedly signed, trimmed, cut and sent out.  Few have good borders)

PCGS  Choice About New 58 PPQ  $365.00    front    back
Bradbeer #326A  #158597  Y  January 3d, 1863.  Signatures of W. Hancock, for register and AW Gray, for treasurer.  This is a Short Note variety 1/8th inch shorter than last and 1/4" shorter than the earlier notes.  There are 2 Augusta IP stamps 1864 & '65.  The 1865 Augusta is the black ink variety. There is also a tiny phantom "T" to left of center vignette on this note.  There are apparently several variations of the T from heavy and completely formed to lighter inking like this one.  This note's balance, color and contrast are above average while the cut is close and especially tight at bottom.  This is typical of all 1863 issued notes.  It has a couple tiny pin-holes at center.
